The EU support program “Processing of Fishery and Aquaculture Products” administered by the RSS is announced. The procedure for the implementation of the program is determined by the Cabinet Regulation No. 458, adopted on 11 August 2015.
The support is intended for investments in the processing of fishery and aquaculture products throughout the territory of Latvia, which:
- stimulate energy savings or reduce environmental impact;
- improves safety, hygiene, health and working conditions;
- concern the processing of fish not intended for human consumption, the processing of by-products from fish processing operations or the processing of organic aquaculture products;
- resulting in new or improved products, processes or management and organizational systems; as well as Covid-19 affected fishery processing companies whose revenues in the period from March to June 2020 or in a part thereof has decreased compared to the respective period of 2020.
The intensity of support: for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises - up to 50% of eligible costs; for Covid-19 affected companies - 20% of the respective decrease in revenues.
The support is available for:
- Food processing companies, recognized by the Food and Veterinary Service (FVS);
- An individual or legal entity, registered in the FVS that processes fishery products at home conditions;
- An existing or newly established legal entity that founds a new fishery product processing company.
Submission of projects – from 28.09.2020 to 30.11.2020.
